Gentle Cleaning Solution for 24k Gold-Plated Sterling Silver

Ingredients (for ~1 cup / 240 mL solution):

• 1 cup warm water (not hot — ideally ~30–40°C / 86–104°F)
• 1–2 drops mild dish soap (Dawn, or any gentle, fragrance-free soap)
• Optional: 1 tsp white vinegar for slightly heavier tarnish (use sparingly)

Tools:
• Soft microfiber cloth
• Small glass or ceramic bowl
• Soft-bristled toothbrush (baby toothbrush) for detailed crevices

⸻ Instructions
1. Mix the warm water and dish soap in a bowl.
2. Place your gold-plated jewelry in the solution for 1–2 minutes only.
3. Use a soft cloth or soft toothbrush to gently remove dirt.
4. Rinse with clean, lukewarm water.
5. Pat dry with a microfiber cloth — do not rub aggressively. ⸻

Important Notes
• No baking soda, salt, or aluminum foil — will scratch or remove the gold plating.
• Avoid ultrasonic cleaners unless they are labeled safe for plated jewelry.
• Store gold-plated pieces separately to prevent rubbing off the plating.
